Challenge Sanremo say thanks to the Polizia Stradale of Imperia

An international event like the Challenge Sanremo could not be realized without the support of local and territorial institutions, volunteers, and law enforcement. A triathlon race, with hundreds of athletes of all competitive levels peacefully invading the streets of ten municipalities, could not be managed without the valuable collaboration of the State Police.

That is why the entire organizing committee of the Challenge Sanremo, represented on this occasion by Daniele Moraglia, Race Director and president of the Riviera Triathlon 1992, would like to officially and publicly thank the Polizia Stradale of Imperia for the support it has always offered to the international triathlon event of the Riviera dei Fiori, presenting the Commissioner, Dr. Emanuele Gioele Facioni, with a plaque that represents the recognition of all that has been done and the trust that the collaboration will become even more streamlined and constructive in the course of the next seasons.

“Simply thank you is what we want to say to the State Police – emphasizes Daniele Moraglia,  – a thank you for what has been done and built over the years to make the Challenge Sanremo safer and safer for all athletes, an important aspect in the promotion of an event and the territory that hosts it”.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee and Riviera Triathlon 1992 take the opportunity to remember their friend Marco Gavino, a young policeman who died during a humanitarian mission in Kosovo. Marco, a person with great human qualities, was a strong and passionate runner in whose memory the trophy awarded to the best male and female runners of the middle distance race is named.
