ACBC (Anything Can Be Changed), a leading consultancy firm specializing in sustainable innovation in the fashion and lifestyle sector, is producing the official merchandise for the Challenge Sanremo, a prestigious triathlon race taking place on September 20th and 21st in the iconic “City of Flowers” – La Città dei Fiori.
Challenge Sanremo (www.challenge-sanremo.com), an international triathlon event part of the prestigious Challenge Family global circuit, hosted by Portosole, will welcome 800 athletes of all ages from five continents. The participation is truly diverse, from the youngest athletes competing in the youth races, to amateur athletes competing in the two distances (middle distance and sprint) and often traveling with family and friends, all the way to professional athletes, who will compete to engrave their names in the Roll of Honor of the fourth edition of the Challenge Sanremo.
The collection, designed to combine functionality, design, and respect for the environment, includes two backpacks, a water bottle, a pair of sports sunglasses, and a visor cap. The accessories, available in a customized version dedicated to the triathlon event, will be delivered to all athletes registered for the event in their race packs. All products were developed with recycled and certified materials, in line with ACBC’s commitment to a more responsible future.
The first backpack is the Byron 18L Roll Top Laptop Backpack, made of GRS-certified recycled polyester: practical, sturdy, and water-repellent, it offers a large internal compartment with a laptop sleeve up to 15.6″, a front zip pocket, two side pockets, and padded, adjustable shoulder straps. Completing the offering is the Reflective Backpack, made of glossy 190T polyester, featuring an internal laptop compartment, a padded back, an external pocket, and adjustable shoulder straps with a chest strap and waistband. Also water-repellent, it is designed to ensure safety and practicality in any situation.
The RPET sports water bottle, with a one-liter capacity, is equipped with a built-in soft silicone straw, a flip-top cap for one-handed use, a safety lock, a shoulder strap, and a timed motivational display. The polarized sports sunglasses, with a RCS-certified recycled PC frame, come with a recycled RPET case and FSC®-certified gift box. The polarized lenses eliminate sun glare, ensuring maximum protection during sports and outdoor activities. Finally, the 175 g/m² cotton twill visor with an adjustable closure offers a comfortable and breathable fit, combining sun protection with a sporty style.
The project strengthens the bond between ACBC and the Ligurian region, highlighting how innovation and sustainability can go hand in hand, even in sports.
“Being part of Challenge Sanremo has a special meaning for me, not only as an entrepreneur but also as a citizen of Sanremo. We wanted to offer participants merchandise that was functional, attractive, and above all, environmentally friendly. It’s a way to leave a tangible memory of the race, but also a sign of concern for the future of our planet,” said Gio Giacobbe, CEO of ACBC.
“We have found in ACBC a valuable partner that, in addition to providing us with a series of valuable products, helps us advance the sustainable vision of a sporting event like triathlon, which, by definition, is characterized by the environment in which it takes place, including seas, lakes, hills, mountains, seaside promenades, and urban centers. We are confident that athletes will appreciate the design and quality of the accessories they will receive when they collect their race pack, the result of an innovation that is attentive to environmental impact,” adds Daniele Moraglia, Race Director of the Challenge Sanremo.
