Challenge Sanremo Swim & Run

400-meter swim and 2-km run, repeated three times for 1.2 km swim and 6 km run.
Swimming: 400-meter course (sheltered from rough seas, always guaranteed)
Running: completely flat, out-and-back course.

The Swim & Run event (Nuota & Corri) that will take place during Challenge Sanremo will be a promotional event.

When picking up their bib, participants in the individual event must declare whether they will participate in the following:

• Swimrun style – participants will complete the legs continuously, always wearing a cap, goggles (if applicable), paddles, a pull buoy and shoes. Participants may not be without their necessary equipment during the entire race.

• Aquathlon style – participants must complete the swim legs wearing a cap and goggles (if applicable). At the end of the swim leg, participants will go to the transition area to deposit their cap and goggles (if applicable) and then put on their running shoes and bib.

The awards ceremony will include:

•⁠ ⁠The top 3 men and top 3 women overall in Swimrun style

•⁠ ⁠The top 3 men and top 3 women overall in Aquathlon style

The relay race requires one participant to take part in the swim legs and the other in the run legs, with a chip being passed as a baton in the transition area.

The awards ceremony will be for the top 3 relay teams overall.
