Six months to the Challenge Sanremo: the updates of the second edition of the international event

The long journey towards the second edition of the Challenge Sanremo has begun. Six months from the international weekend (September 23-24), the organizational machine of the Riviera Triathlon 1992 is already at work for the development of the only Italian event of the Challenge Family circuit, awarded last year as the best new race.

Also this year, the Challenge Sanremo is a qualification race for The Championship, the world final of the international circuit which will see the best professional long-distance athletes and the amateur/age group athletes who have conquered the precious slot in their category.

Registrations, which are already open on the official website, this year also include the possibility of payment in installments. Athletes will also be able to take advantage of the insurance which will allow them to receive a refund in case of non-participation or to transfer their registration to another athlete or to another race in the programme.

This year, all the events will be concentrated in two days. On Saturday 23 September, the Swimrun “Alessio Bianchi” and the youth triathlon competitions are scheduled, while on Sunday 24 September, there will be the Challenge Sanremo Middle Distance, 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling through 11 municipalities in the province of Imperia, 21.1 km of running, and the Triathlon Sprint, 0.75 km of swimming, 20 km of cycling with the legendary Poggio climb, and 5 km of running.
