Good first! – Buona la prima, we might say. The 2022 Challenge Family Awards were awarded on the occasion of the world meeting of race directors hosted by Anfi Resorts in Gran Canaria. These awards, a precious recognition for the event organizing committees, are awarded following a vote attended by thousands of athletes from all over the world.
Challenge Sanremo won the Best New Race of the Year award, a great incentive to continue improving in the following years and a concrete response to the intense work done by the Organizing Committee during the first edition of the event.
“It was exciting to receive the Best New Race 2022 award during the Challenge Family Awards after two days of discussions with the best organizers worldwide – says Daniele Moraglia, Race Director of Challenge Sanremo – A result to be shared with all the organizing group that I hope will make proud all the municipalities that hosted us and all the institutions that helped us. It is everyone’s prize, awarded to us by the athletes who took part in the race, a prize that must push us to improve and grow because the Challenge Sanremo is a sport event that deserves great respect and can give a lot to the area. Furthermore, the results of a research conducted with SUPSI regarding the economic impact of the event will be released shortly and many new features are ready for the next edition”.
